The Most Popular Statistic

While the mean is the least popular statistic, the mode is the most popular statistic. No wonder statistics is confusing.

    For those of you who have not had statistics for a while, the mode is defined as the value that occurs most frequently in a sample. The mode, by definition, is the statistic that captures the most popular value of a variable (in a given sample).
